Terms & Conditions for Pit Stop Car Storage (UK)

These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) govern your use of Pit Stop Car Storage services. By storing your vehicle with us, you agree to the following terms:

Definitions

  • “Company,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our” refers to Pit Stop Car Storage.
  • “Client,” “You,” or “Your” refers to the individual or entity using our storage services.
  • “Vehicle” refers to the car or automobile stored at Pit Stop Car Storage.

Storage Agreement

  • Vehicles are stored on a monthly or long-term basis, as agreed between the Company and Client.
  • The storage fee must be paid in advance and is non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
  • We reserve the right to modify our fees, but any changes will be communicated in advance.

 

Storage Conditions

  • We take care of the storage conditions, maintaining a controlled environment to protect your vehicle. However, we do not guarantee against potential deterioration or damages beyond our control (e.g., force majeure, acts of nature, etc.).
  • Clients are required to provide accurate details regarding the condition of their vehicle upon storage.
  • All vehicles must have valid insurance during the storage period. Pit Stop Car Storage does not provide insurance for vehicles stored.

 

Insurance and Liability

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is comprehensively insured while stored.
  • Pit Stop Car Storage is not liable for theft, damage, or loss to the vehicle, its contents, or personal belongings left inside the vehicle, except where negligence is proven.
  • In the event of damage to the vehicle, claims must be submitted within 24 hours of collection.

 

Access to Stored Vehicles

  • Clients may access their vehicles during designated business hours, subject to prior notice to the Company.
  • Access outside of business hours may incur additional fees.
  • The Company reserves the right to refuse access to the vehicle if any outstanding fees remain unpaid.

 

Termination of Storage

  • Either party may terminate the storage agreement by providing at least 14 days’ written notice.
  • Upon termination, all outstanding fees must be settled, and the vehicle must be removed from the premises within the notice period.
  • Vehicles left beyond the termination period may incur additional fees or, after a reasonable period, be subject to sale to recover unpaid fees.

 

Payment Terms

  • All payments must be made via the agreed-upon method (credit card, bank transfer, etc.) and within the specified due dates.
  • Late payments may result in penalties or termination of the storage agreement.
  • The Company reserves the right to withhold the vehicle until all outstanding payments are cleared.

 

Client Responsibilities

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle is in roadworthy condition, including properly inflated tyres and a fully charged battery (if required).
  • The Company is not responsible for mechanical or electrical faults, breakdowns, or flat tyres while the vehicle is in storage.
  • It is the Client’s responsibility to inform the Company of any mechanical or maintenance concerns prior to storage.

 

Prohibited Vehicles

  • The Client must not store vehicles containing hazardous materials, flammable substances, or illegal items.
  • The Company reserves the right to refuse storage of any vehicle that is deemed unsuitable for any reason.

 

Amendments

  • The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes.

 

Dispute Resolution

  • In the event of a dispute between the Company and the Client, both parties agree to seek an amicable resolution before resorting to legal proceedings.
  • Any legal disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.

 

Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and any legal matters shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.
